Re: 3 Star Hayden HowertonSeems he wouldn't have done this if there was a looming coaching change

Re: 3 Star Hayden HowertonWatch his Senior video and tell me he's not a Cornerstone recruit for the Offensive Line
http://www.hudl.com/video/3/3895020/57e ... a4e86b2c37 he committed to Rice very early (National Honor Society-3.8 GPA) and I think a lot of recruiting services have overlooked him. But he is no. 91 rated recruit in Texas by TexAgs, Rivals 3 Star, 247.com 3 Star and he was honored as First team All-Greater Houston by Houston Chronicle as only a JUNIOR. I didn't watch his video until about 2 weeks ago but it is awesome. Mobility, technique and toughness. I think he should be a consensus Texas Top 100 and high 3 star based on his Senior Video and a lot of schools apparently agree. Re: 3 Star Hayden HowertonI don't need Scout or Rivals star systems. If the kid has the Stallion seal of approval I am happy to have him.
Re: 3 Star Hayden HowertonQuestion for Stallion:
How many more scholarships do we have to offer for the class that will sign in Feb. 2017? Pony 81
Re: 3 Star Hayden Howertonmaybe a couple unless there is roster turnover.
Based on Senior Day honorees I counted the other day and I think we are about 3-4 over right now so not much room. But remember you don't have to get down to 85 until the first day of August 2017. Now that Morris' recruits dominate the roster I expect less natural attrition than when we were weeding out some of June Jones' recruits-still a few though on the roster Last edited by Stallion on Tue Nov 29, 2016 4:31 pm, edited 1 time in total.

Re: 3 Star Hayden HowertonRice fans have given up with his decommitment and Bailiff being retained
Re: 3 Star Hayden Howerton
Entertaining video! A lot of those boys ended up on the ground or 10 yards downfield. He and Ali ought to be great together!

Re: 3 Star Hayden Howertonanother thing I like about him is his versatility which SMU Coaches say they look for. They are recruiting him for Tackle but note he was First Team All Greater Houston at Center as a Junior-he played a little bit at Center too as a Senior as shown in video. If SMU recruited a bunch of great Tackles you could slide him inside to Guard where he fits size/mobility wise. I could see him playing at every position on Offensive Line. We saw how important that was this year

Re: 3 Star Hayden Howerton
What happens with Rice? It seems like they have completely thrown in the towel on D1 football. I know their attendance is horrible. I know the class of 56 had their reunion this fall ( last Cotton Bowl team was 54 so presumably would have lots of fond football memories) and didn't go to the HC game because it's too damn depressing. I can't see them going the Georgetown route of focusing only on BBALL because they are horrible at that with zero facilities. They need to shut it down and go D III. Pony 81
Re: 3 Star Hayden Howertonthey just completed a 24 Million endzone multi-purpose facility and they've been to 2 bowls since we last did.
