laughing my [deleted] off-he's not even in the Texas Top 100 of any of the major recruiting services right now but now he's the Scout Offensive MVP for a 5 state region. I doubt that has ever happened before (especially since he does not do any "route progression" in the Lake Travis offense according to JasonB)

well, consider that SMU signed both Dieter and Line coming off their Parade All-America seasons. Those guys were all everything in H.S. and got National recognition in Parade Magazine but not many D-1 coaches were impressed

I get your point, but Dieter's good and Line was hopelessly out of position. Sometimes you get a guy who's all world but his game doesn't translate to the next level. That's not Brewer. He's slight, yes. But this has been (so far) just a flat out miss from a major program scouting perspective. If he holds, he's got a strong chance to be a real nice player in college. Happy to have him in the mix.

Dieter is averaging 1.1 catches per game-let's not wet our pants. I wouldn't trade Sutton or Proche for Dieter-he'd be second string at SMU too

Averaging 15 yards per catch for Ala-fricking-bama. 4 touchdowns on the year. He's done alright, Joe Stats. He's good. I do like Sutton better, though.

Proche and Sutton are better receivers on the outside where Dieter line up. Wouldn't trade them . Proche (57 catches for 709 yards) may set records around here if his freshman season is any indication

Compare to Emanuel Sanders 49 catches 605 yards as Freshman in the Run N Shoot

I do not tweet so I do not know what he has said. We have made our decision. It of course do not announce until the player has had an opportunity to make his own statement.
