Good luck to him - it probably is a better situation for the kid. Besides, It's not like I needed a reason to root against the Bears.

We are still loaded at QB. Hopefully we can use that scholly elsewhere and put it to good use.

Very surprising and disappointing. Thought Charlie was solid with Chad.

Hopefully Chad flirting with Baylor won't have the same impact as June flirting with ASU. I know what June did was a big disaster and different, but we will see.

We haven't signed a qb out of high school since Hicks. Can't keep relying on the JUCO / Transfer market to fill the position.

Not sure what you mean. Almost everyone ends up playing transfers. Probably better way to go.

But let's keep this in perspective. As cute as it is that Baylor had one signee, that was always a dangerous situation for us and Houston and like - we know that they were going to come after our recruits.

Well, they didn't go after our individual recruits, they went after our coach, clearly intending Morris to bring every commitment with him - and they missed. So now they get a kid a position we are stacked at for the next two to three years. Fine. Not worth getting upset over.

Good luck Charlie. Hope Baylor doesn't end up 2-10 the next four years.

I have SMU blinders on, but I think even non SMU people will be surprised by this. I really think he will regret this. Baylor is not in a good place right now, and it is likely to get worse. SMU is about to take off however.

I agree. We have good talent right now at the position regardless. But if we have one transfer at the position after the depth chart is set for 2017, which is very plausible, we start to get thin again. *assuming Davis doesn't get the medical redshrt* I hope Morris is able to find a under the radar 2017 kid or flip a commit because at some point we should be trying to develop another kid in the system out of HS. It's a luxury we didn't have this year after D Moore left right before NSD.
