Wow, just so surprising they chose UCLA and Texas over SMU. Guess they weren't all that impressed with Arkansas either.

We got a commit in the last couple of days that's higher than anyone chad ever landed.

That’s great and all and makes sense to cheer if this was basketball but football requires multiple great players. Chad from my recollection had a well rounded first class that ranked in the 70s. Now I think Dykes had a rougher start but he looks to be averaging in his LA Tech days in terms of class. While that’s great he got one really good player, it looks and feels he’s lost a lot of above average players. I hope I’m wrong and I hope he’s a great player developer. Time will tell this fall.

TaMerik Williams has a 23.0 Long Jump already this year which is pretty stout. I think he's at the Texas Relays this weekend

TaMerik Williams stretches his long jump to 23.3-5. I can't access all the Texas top results like in past years but my hunch is that he would rank in the Top 10 in Texas with that jump. Top 5 is at 23.7 so he's among the better long jumpers in Texas. Excellent. He also has an 11.05 100 Meters

Jared Miles ran a 10.87 100 Meters which is a good time but to show you how much speed there is in Louisiana he finished 11th. Sugar Bowl Meet-Probably a pretty big meet maybe their Texas Relays

Looks like Tamerik Williams will be competing at the UIL 5A State Championships in at least 3 events. He's the anchor on the 4x100 Meter Relay and 4 x 200 relays and Angleton literally blew the other teams off the track in the Regional Finals (+.31 seconds) and (+1.09 seconds) respectively-pretty damn good in a Regional. Also finished 2nd in the Broad Jump although it was well behind his best of 23-3.5

pretty unbelievable Senior year from a guy who the recruiting services largely ignored most of the year

All-Greater Houston RB First Team 165 Rush 1,814 yards, 21 Tds 11.0 (YPC) and I'm sure in Track
Led Football team to 5a Title Game
Made 5A State Championship Track Meet in 3 events

even after a few bumps he's rated ridiculously too low--instead of the .8335 range he should be ranked in the 87 to 88 range and a definite high 3 star

With a lot of schools already through for the year when are we going to hear about these grad transfers that 'spose to fill in the gaps?

I have to agree with what HubbaHubba and BUS said. And I wonder about next year about which we've seen little on PONYFANS. Were there any recruits at the spring game? Anyone seen on unofficial visits who can be named?

Much the same remark could be made about basketball especially for someone who might help at point in the 2018 - 19 season as well as possible future additions.

Went to Spring game and was amazed at how many people were there. Lots of school busses. Lots of name badges of young guys. Don't know any specifics.

Think Bball got a guard that is 6'4"
