that's pretty much what recruiting is about. UT has apparently been chasing one of our average ranked commits lately. There's about 4-5 we might have to watch but so far everybody is seemingly very solid

Jaylon Thomas and Lubbock Coronado completed their first undefeated 10-0 season in school history with a 34-31 road victory over Abilene Cooper Thursday night. This is a strong team that might be one of the best from West Texas in awhile

another great game by Kemon tonite but it looks like they lost. Thanks to whoever the SMU correspondent is-did a great job keeping up with Kemon all year. He's had an unbelievable year-he's going to need to hit the strength and conditioning program to be ready to play though. Great potential-but not sure it will be next year

Terrance Newman and Duncanville beat Killeen Ellison 62-0. Just a dominate team but they'll get a good test next week against Trinity. I usually don't like the 5-11 DT but after watching him all year I'm quietly confident that if he keeps his weight in check this kid will be a nice player for SMU sooner than later. His mobility is simply outstanding for his size. I wouldn't be surprised if he makes the All-Metro team.

Tamerik Williams had TD runs of 73 and 28 yards in a 79-14 blowout of SA Highlands. This one was over early so not sure he played much

Manvel pulled off the "Texas Special" tonite in first round of playoffs. For the kids:

Ha! Chad ought to try that play since he won't get the A&M job without 9 wins

Senior Highlites for OT Jake Spytak from The Woodlands which suffered a shocking loss to Rockwall in First Round of playoffs after being the Top seed in 5A. With the depth we are building in Offensive Line- he'll almost certainly redshirt. I'm anticipating a dominate Offensive Line by about 2019. Its been pretty solid this year and will better in 2018.

Temerik Williams has 3 First Half TDs as Angleton leads Boerne Champion 42-0 at half-he probably won't play much in 2nd Half

Final 69-7. Tamerik added a reception for a TD on halfback pass, Angleton looking for blood?
