So what will Sonny's recruiting goals be for this cycle? I'd imagine he'll try and keep as many of the current commits as possible. And then what? Try to fill the class with some guys that lack decent offers that may hop aboard because its their best option? At this point I don't see us landing any new high quality commits for the 2018 class.

He needs to keep current commits, especially the good defensive ones. My first call would be to Tre Allison, try to get him back, then Kemon Smith. Then buddy up to Williams and leverage him to keep the offensive side of things in tact. Then need defensive Jucos, especially DTs and DBs.

Keep everybody and pick up a juco DT and DB or 2 and that's a damn great save.

And keep ponyuptempo.

Dykes offense is up tempo. So, keep the branding. But, again, I guess you have to start from scratch with your own stuff.

Cal's Offense ran a lot more Offensive plays in 2016 than SMU in 2017

I think Coach Dykes should go after some former 3* & 4* Sr. grad DTs/DEs who have a year left to play, but have started for their schools in the past.
