That's what you want, the ability to have the time you need to make the plays and to take away the other team's time to make the play.

I completely agree. Even in today's game of wide open spread/RPO offenses, it still comes down to: can you run the ball and get vertical and can you stop the other team from running the ball and get pressure. If you can answer yes to those two questions, you are going to win a lot of ball games.
