Perhaps I am not reading this correctly but it appears that SMU has signed four of the Top 35 junior college prospects.

Kind of surprised how few BCS schools are on that list. Might say something about how physically prepared now high school players are for college football.

Interesting that two of those guys are former Mustangs: Mike Scott and Jordan Carmouche.
Didn't Carmouche leave because he wanted to play RB while Morris wanted to move him to LB? Played DL in JUCO.

Wrong List-Note how many low rated recruits are listed and commitments for only 6 recruits to P5 schools. This appears to be a list of the Top TEXAS JUCOs -ie from Blinn, Cisco, Tyler, Navarro and Trinity Valley which are the only JUCOs in Texas playing Football these days. Only 6 to P5 schools still seems low though even for Texas' 5 JUCOs

(I couldn't link the National List for some reason)

On the National List SMU recruits are ranked:

54. Levon Livingston
188. Trevor Denbow
201. Robert Haynes
231. Beau Morris

Wonder why Carmpuche didn’t sign with anyone. Non qualifier? I don’t remember Scott, but too bad we lost him.

might need another year to graduate since he had academic issues at SMU--3rd year of JUCO is not unusual in those situations. Also, many JUCOs don't sign until the summer after they graduate with the needed 2.5 Core GPA which is relatively new. Schools might be taking a wait and see position to see if he in fact makes. Since he redshirted at SMU he would still have 2 years of eligibility even if he played a 3rd year at a JUCO.
