Alright, I don't want to curse us, but who all are we talking about here? I'm tracking the big 4* OL Byrd but is there someone else we feel good about? Harmon, Nwokobla, Wheaton?

Maybe mamas wanting their kids to stay close due to this virus scare. But I don't remember a stronger lineup of recruits in a very long time. Almost all Dallas kids -- or at least DFW.

All our commits thus far have P5 offers. (Stone has 36, including Bama, LSU, OH State, TX, and aTm.)
We're favored for multiple other recruits with great P5 offer lists. SMU can compete with the big boys and win, as long as there is a coach committed to the program.

Looking at our current success makes me even angrier with Tiki's DITR and leftovers approach to recruiting. Chad was marginally better, but SMU was always a way station for him.

June Jones put SMU back on the radar, exactly what we hired him to do. Yes, it's a shame he "quit" on us, but our leadership didn't exactly live up to their promises either. Plenty of blame both ways. I'm thankful we had him -- it was fun. Even if he didn't sport khakis, loafers, and Southern Tide belt.

I'm thankful we landed June as he put us back on the map, made SMU a cool place to be for any coach, even one with many options. He proved that you can win at SMU. I just wish we had made a move as soon as he clearly indicated he no longer wanted to be here. I'm thankful Morris left when he did. I hope Sonny Dykes wants to stay here long term and for now it appears he does. However, if he ever indicates he wants to move on I hope we have learned our lesson and help him move on. Thanks to the success of the aforementioned coaches, SMU is once again an attractive destination for players and coaches.

Nice. Another solid pickup. Beat two SEC schools for him, so can't argue with that.

Welcome JaDarius!

Love the name. Great that a local kid has decided to stay home.
