Cinci lost a huge 5* recruit from the area that they really hoped for to LSU. Kind of hard to argue with the kid for that.

That's a game changer. TCU's junk offense just got a large shot in the arm.
I watched his 2019 highlight film, he has speed and surge . Of course being a freshman you know hes going to get in trouble lol. Maybe has to sit out the SMIU game if we even have any.

I'm looking, but I'm having a hard time locating TCU in the recruiting rankings. They must be on page two.

I think this class will be better than top 50-60 when it's said and done.

I am less concerned with our total ranking than I am how we do in comparison to uc, ucf, Memphis, and Houston.

Cinci has been crushing it in recruiting, but we should have a comparable class and think we will finish ahead of the rest.

I think at the moment we rest at #25. If we land Savion Byrd, we might be Top 15.

They are doing great with Ohio recruits but they had a lot of hopes in the rb that chose LSU.

SMU was one of the three schools that you visited in-person, along with Arkansas and Texas Tech. How strongly did you consider SMU?

SMU was also one of my favorites. It was real close. SMU, they treated me like family. They showed a lot of love to me and my mom. I think they’ve got something big going. They’ve got a lot of good athletes, smart athletes, talented athletes that will be going to SMU. Most of those guys I grew up with.

A&M has a shot with plenty of other big o-linemen in 2021. Savion Byrd‍ will probably still go to SMU though.

I looked at direct competition with our four major competitors in the AAC. None of our offered recruits committed to Cincy or UCF and none of theirs committed to SMU. We have commitments from 5 recruits Houston offered and Memphis offered 3 of the 5 on the Houston list.

One of 3 Houston commitments had an SMU offer and none of the six Memphis commits had an SMU offer.

Notably, none of the 4 offered Preston Stone. If they had it would have been 1 for 4 and 0 for 7.

Of the other 4 SMU commits not receiving offers from key conference rivals, Sneed had a KS offer, Manjack had 4 P5 offers and one from Yale (which may explain why Houston and Memphis didn't bother to offer), Kelly had offers from Okie State and KS. Kelly, our lowest-rated recruit, didn't have a P5 offer, but he did have offers from Dartmouth and Georgetown (which, as with Manjack and Yale, may explain why Houston and Memphis didn't bother).

Heading into Memorial Day weekend, Cincy is ranked 22 with 14 commitments with an average rating of 84.95 and no 4 Stars. SMU is 28 with 10 commitments averaging 86.48, including one 4 Star (Stone). Memphis is 60, with 6 commits averaging 84.91. UCF is 86 with 3 commitments averaging 84.56. Houston is 94 with 3 commits averaging 80.44.

Bottom line for conference -- SMU #1 in avg. points, #2 in commitments.
