Men's basketball lands 7-foot center

Per his Twitter account, center Mouhammadou Cissé of Hillcrest (Ariz.) Prep, the same school that produced future NBA players Marvin Bagley and DeAndre Ayton. Originally from Senegal, he played for Monaco's Under-21 team in the French League in 2020. He also reports offers from Arizona State, Georgia, UMass, Nevada, Texas Tech, Hampton and Oakland.

I don't know. Isn't Cisse a fairly common surname?

Considering my past skepticism, I have to give credit where it's due: 7 feet and can run, and beating out Georgia, Tech and ASU -- this looks like a really good get. Congrats.

Apparently Cisse moved to Putnam Science Academy in Connecticut, which lists him at 7'1".

Additional reported offers from Arizona, CSU Fullerton, DePaul, Grand Canyon, Mississippi State.

Appears to have a nice shooting touch. I wonder if he shoots FTs well, which is not common among big men.
