A big Saturday

Postby LA_Mustang » Sun Dec 21, 2003 12:55 am

I miss one day of sports and all this happens. My favorite player, Hop, has the best game of his career as the Ponies get off the mat and show signs of life. Wake beats UNC in 3 OTs, which has to be the game of the year so far. The Horns get spanked. Future SMU star, Wilton McCray, has a huge game in the 4A state championship...gezzzz. That’s my luck, I miss it all.

Also, Boise represented the WAC today with a big win over Oregon St.. 82-80.

Here’s to a similar Sunday.
SMU-12 NCAA appearances, 1 Final Four
2014-15 & 2016-17 AAC Men's Basketball Champs

We have a good shot at Purdue.. if the offense is clicking.

Hop played amazing today.
Best of luck to them tomorrow!

How do you figure we have a good shot at Purdue? Thats a team that spanked Duke on nuetral court. It would be a huge upset to say the least. If the game were at Moody I'd feel a little different, but Purdue has one of the biggest homecourt advantages in the Big 10 over the years which is saying alot.

As bad as Dement's hair is, it's not as bad as Gene Keady's. We're already ahead.
Long live Thomas Sowell!

I think Hop plays better in big games, and he's shown that at least HE can play well on the road. All this team needs to show is heart. When the offense is clicking, they can be competitive with anyone as long as the defense isn't giving up treys like free beer on ladies nite.
