Maybe I missed an update but saw nothing definite about Nic's availability / effectiveness tonight before starting this note. I am tempted to compare SMU's current thin roster with that of Georgia Tech during the Bobby Cremins years (1982 - 2000). Cremin's did not believe in using a lot of players. IIRC part of his recruiting pitch was that if you were a stud you would get a lot of minutes. His 1985 team went to the Final Four and lost to UNLV in the semifinals. He had a later team that lost the title game. I think he generally depended on seven players or so.

I am sure Nic will play if possible. I am sure Coach Brown knows what to do if he can't go.

Maybe Charleston Pony can add something about the number of players Cremins used at C of C when he came out of retirement.

GO PONIES.

There isn't team in the country that wouldn't mind having him play PG for them!

Got to be impressive to make the top 10 of a list from which you were not on. That is big in itself.

It is impressive. KU's Frank Mason and UNC's Marcus Paige didn't make the top 10. They cut the list to five next month where fans can vote. I'd be great to see Nic make that cut.
