Future opponent Missouri lost to UMKC 80-66 last night. Same UMKC team that lost by 15 @ Minnesota and by 32 @ Iowa

That's encouraging, we really need to beat Mizzou so we can get our shot at Florida State on Monday.

Looks like a pretty mediocre crowd at UH/UVA game. At UH. Houston is Hosting.

It was sold out. Late arriving like most big city schools.

How late? The second half? I watched between the 16 and 12-minute media timeouts in the first half and there were PLENTY of empty seats. Have to call BS on that "sellout".

I checked in several times, empty seats all over. It may have been a sellout in name only. Not even cardboard cut out fans. And they are the post child for the new Big XII.

Houston announced attendance of 7,051 vs Fertitta center capacity of 8,479. Hopefully we would draw 6k to Moody if Virginia was to visit but who knows?

UH Athletics tweet that the game was sold out. I believe all season tickets are sold out as well but single game and 1,000 student tickets were left open. Capacity is 7100 but I see that a google search shows 8479.

Observations:
"The game was a sellout, but there will always be empty seats, especially on school nights."
"For the Virginia game the club area (where the cameras point) was filled much more than usual."
"The stadium for all purposes was full. Empty seats here and there isn’t that big of a deal. Remember…weekday, and literally millions of people on Houston freeways. Some people don’t want to get out in that."

After years of hundreds of fans showing up for Dickey, Penders, McCallum and Brooks, I'm very encouraged by the crowds and that they sell 7051, or 6051 including students who pay quite a bit in fees to support the program.

Pony crowd looked solid in the opener. I forgot about Monday's game. My excuse is that I have to help keep my kid on track with his schoolwork and I'd be the only one in my family attending on a weeknight so I watch on ESPN+.

At the beginning of LB, the tickets were bought by diehards.

At the end of LB and the beginning of Jank, there was the reseat but also a ton of seats were sold to corporations who didn't show up for a lot of games. Lots of empty seats even for sellouts.

Houston is going through that right now - they are popular enough to get corporate attention, which means empty seats and late arrivals.

I remember coming into town for a game against ecu which was a 'selloout' and there might have been 5k there.
