Nova is tough, but Temple did well this year in the Battle for Philly with this their only loss. We should have a similar schedule and play TCU, UNT & UTA every year for the Metroplex Mayor's Trophy or some such thing. Would be a tough sweep for anyone

As attractive as that might seem I don't think it helps us at all at NCAA selection time.

I favor keeping TCU on the schedule but the other two will always be under-rated..... UTA won't have that coach much longer.

Better off chasing bigger fish.

We always play games like McNeese and UCSB that do nothing for our RPI. I'm for keeping it local

Kinda like UCONN with those local cupcakes? We'll always have a cupcakes or three but creating a rivalry with a non-entity, actually two? Nah.

and both AAC teams were beaten tonight. At least that puts SMU right in behind Cincy and Houston in AAC standings

Us, Cincy and UH should be at the top. Temple is dangerous and UCF will be better when their leading scorer and PG comes back from injury.

I guess UConn is out of the picture.

I'm sure they will win a couple of big games and be dangerous, but with the way they have been playing I wouldn't count them as much more of a contender than a Memphis right now. They are 4-5 and haven't really shown much improvement.

Don't ever count UConn out. They seem to always get it going come conference time.
