Damn, we stunk today.

Those darn huskies made all the big shots, got all the bounces, made all the free throws.

We looked like we were just happy to be there. Got to elevate in games like that.

Agree. I just wish we were the one with all the cards. I'll be at that game and I hope to see a big SMU win. But Tulsa will be very motivated especially if they beat Cincy.

We didn't lose a single card today.

UCONN simply played great. Purvis finally lived up to his billing and Boat played his usual great game.

Happens. We didn't play bad. They simply played great, got some good bounces and won.

I'm hopeful the team learned a little about playing a close game in a hostile environment. I think this sort of game prepares us better for the tourney instead of a blow out win.

One thing is for sure. Next weeks game with Tulsa is going to be a chance for the SMU faithful to prove that they ca be a dominating crowd from before tip off to varsity.

I can't remember the last time SMU had a game on national tv (CBS)....but we blew a big opportunity. Oh well, it just shows how far we've come under Larry Brown, we're bummed that we lost a road game at UConn.

We clearly lost the game due to atrocious refereeing.

Give credit to UConn, Pervis was on fire and we had nothing to stop them. Hard to beat a team shooting like that. They got all the shots, bounces, calls - it was their day today.

UConn was due. We had owned them up 'till now and they were waiting and ready for us.

Congrats to the Huskies.

exactly! no way we just didn't show up today and get beat by a team that played great basketball. have to blame the refs. i haven't even ever seen a team lose that wasn't due to 100% to officiating.

I knew it was bad but Boatright/Purvis/Hamilton combined for 67 points on
20-35 (58%) FG shooting , 9-18 (50%) 3 point shooting and 18-20 (90%) Free
Throw Shooting. I think Hamilton their freshman 5 star scored 14 of his 16
points mostly late in the 2nd half. There's no way in hell we were winning that
game. All 3 were national recruited studs who played up to potential. Those 3 guys scored about 10 more than our team usually concedes. Hats off to them

Hamilton won the game - we drew even and he caught on fire right when we usually see our opponent's air go out of the sails

Give credit to UCONN as that was their best team performance this year.... By far.

For us it was the one stretch game we could actually afford to lose and we did. I think we bounce back and learn alot from this one. No excuses, except of course, that our highly prejudicial refs took the afternoon off.

Let's destroy Tulsa and claim the regular season title.
