I say 'eff the locals at this point.
they don't want to represent Dallas...they want to do a big cirkle-jerk instead, in the armpit of the world known as College Station...screw 'em.
Duke wasn't built with kids from the Triangle.

Not forget the local because we did sign Frazier and Mudiay. We just had one bad year. Still have TFerg and Marques Bolden to go for next year.

It's quite entertaining to read some of the tantrums on this board. LB genuinely wishes every one of them well. Try to be big enough to do that yourself. It's just basketball.

So forget about recruiting TFerg and Bolden while we have a had success 2 out of 3 years locally signing players? Don't have a temper tantrum. LB will recruit locally if a player he wants is there.

Five Star Recruit: "I may want to play for you Mr. Brown" LB: "Just one question….What's your zip code."

If Duke had a local talent pool that looked like DFW, Duke would have been built a lot more from that local talent pool, especially during the rise...

Thank you O' great moral compass! Seriously, this is a message board, where we talk about sports and recruiting - you know, the event where there is a winner and a loser...where they keep score... it is not Junior League - although perhaps that is where you should be directed to ponyboy. try to be a pony-man.

no that is not what I said. why does everything have to be all or nothing? what i said is that we don't have to sign ALL locals. sprinkle a Frazier or a TFerg in with kids from Chicago, NY, Jersey, Cali, etc. but we don't have to sign the entire Team Texas lineup.

sorry - i would not advocate boycotting local kids because this one local class screwed us over, not what was intended. basically, just eff the locals that would rather go to College Station.

They were all intimidated by the SMU academics. TAMU is just about right for them. Thomas will be a bust as his ego and lack of work ethic will make him difficult to coach.

In a lot of ways, A&M represents Dallas more than SMU does. 95% of the Dallas kids in the SMU student body went to HP, Woodrow, Plano schools (especially West), Southlake, or a private school. Ignoring 80% of the region does us no favors
