Ugly 2nd half for our guys; shot poorly and turned it over. Finished with 13 assists on 29 made FGs vs 15 turnovers. At one point in 1st half I think they had 10 assists on 17 buckets and only 4-5 turnovers. Credit SE La for turning up pressure but things were just too easy in that 1st half

- I am still surprised we haven't played against a zone this year.
- That said, they gave the template to defend us. Put a taller player on Davis, provide weakside help against drives in the paint, back off defensively and give up threes and hope we take and miss them.
- Things settled down a bit and got back on track towards the end when we actually ran an offense.
- A big differences between this team and the last two years are Marcus and Clark. Marcus gives us someone who will muscle on the baseline and draw fouls or get decent shots when the long shots aren't falling and we can't drive. And Clark gives us some actual post offense as well as someone who can finish off a drive and dish. They kept the wheels from completely falling off.
- Legs looked heavy in the second half, even with the rotation. I wonder if they had a really intense practice yesterday in preparation for the back-to-back in the tourney.
- Really scary how we folded against the press. Surprising with that much experience on the court.
- Nuitall is like Vinnie Johnson. He is either on, or he is completely off. He still is a good player defensively, even when his shot is not falling like tonight.
- I really like this team defensively. Not a lot of open looks. But without consistent shooters, I think we are going to really struggle against some defenses this year. Houston for sure. Memphis because they have length at point guard. UCF and Cincy might be on that list as well. In conference, teams are going to play a ton of zone against us, whereas teams are just playing their base defense in these preseason games. I bet we see zone a bit more in both tourney games.
