Crowd is small but irate after Williamson gets trucked by Gaston-Chapman ... and called for a blocking foul. He and Odigie have 2 fouls each

Nice day for the officials:

Tulsa player drives the baseline, steps out of bounds, and is allowed to continue dribbling back on the floor.
Seconds later, Njie gets away with a goaltend (turning away a shot after it clearly hit the rim).

SMU 40-36
27.5 seconds left in the first half

With Phelps out, our guys did a nice job of spacing and moving the ball around. Good balanced scoring with everyone contributing. 14 assists on 14 made FGs and 9 different guys scored

Ricardo Wright was the leading scorer for Marist last year and he showed a nice touch from three hitting 2-3. Team made 8-15 threes which is a pleasant change. Nutall also shot well in that 1st half making 3 of 4 threes

SMU with 14 assists vs 5 turnovers. Best we've done all year sharing and protecting the ball. Tulsa with 3 assists vs 6 turnovers and actually had one more FG attempt than SMU because of 5 offensive boards off 17 missed shots

Once again Williamson was all over the court and the stat sheet. Shot better than usual and actually converted one of two threes, had 3 offensive boards, 2 assists and steal and a block. After starting poorly, guys finished with 7-11 FTs so good finish to that 1st half

Teams are warming up for the second half.
Phelps is seated on the bench with an assistant coach, wearing the same belt around his waist and a long-sleeve shirt. Looks like his day is done.

Did Jaden Smith replace Todo in the starting lineup? Why is Todo out?
So many players getting time that usually don’t made me wonder if Coach was doing that to placate players upset about PT.
Nice run to end the half.
