Doh says Rich needs self-help classes for being satisfied with the win

Defense was REALLY GOOD...good stretch in the 1st half where some of the supporting cast did well

Good boost for the team to not play great but still win against a really talented team

when?

ECU had the ball with 20 seconds - inbounds from their baseline.

probably b/c we're not a pressing team and going to it, although strategically sound, would have probably given up an easier look. Just guessin

Nyakundi was the star, his big 3 pointer and free throws in crunch time sealed it and he rebounded well all game. Houston up next and they are spanking Memphis, we need this one at home, all Pony fans come on out!!!

GO Ponies!!!!!!!!!!

Anytime we get a win on the road I am happy, but to do it when Derek shoots 30% from the field, and Pop doesn't play well, is flat out great.

Game ball: Justin Haynes.

not to say that ECU is a good team, but they are no where near Rice or Tulane bad, they have a couple of players that can hurt you on any given night and the Ponies played a pretty good game.

Was nice to see that on National TV.

One thing I loved was Doherty and how even keeled he was, no big tantrums, no yelling at players, I hope he is learning, the team can respond without a meltdown.

Now let's beat Houston!

not to mention no McCoy. Good to see both Walker and Clink contributing.

No doubt we're improving. Princeton O will be tough in CUSA once it has the right parts.

I taped the game & just finished watching it. I agree with you about ECU. They have some talent but they really aren't that good. I thought we played terrible & still won. That was some bad hoops action. Last couple of years thats a L. Really poor execution on the offensive end & equally poor job on the boards. Gotta take care of the ball better in the future & somebody (Haynes, Clink, Otis) needs to step up their game.
A real positive to win on the road without bringing your A or B game IMO.

How many games do you think we have left with that feeling this season? Honest question, not
trying to start something. I guess it is encouraging that we have played some bad hoops but still managed to pull a few out. Finish .500 this season then make a bigger stride next year.......hopefully.
