Football's bigger and it's next. The NCAA in itself is an oxymoron.
I think it's all headed to a professional pay play situation with minimal expectations scholastically.
Once they realize the Pandora's Box they've opened it will drown them.
Kansas is next in line...
But actually, Basketball is much dirtier than football is.
If that’s the case, and I can definitely see it as being so, then that means football is damn dirty. Waiting until we get first word that UNC has changed the wording in their academic standards policy to eliminate an honor code and mandate passing standards. After their recent close call, they’ll learn to fix those pesky ethical standards before they get caught.
But, in all seriousness, there is going to be a time shortly after this devolves into a minor-league system where universities are sued to provide lifetime employment because their offering of up to 4 years payment for participation creates a standard of living that the real world couldn’t match post graduation...so they need to provide a living wage to all graduating athletes who can’t compete in their sport at the next level. It’s the “logical” continuance of the argument and the next step towards idiocracy.
