Posters say....

Give Jank a chance, look at our past success, be patient with him, you can't fire a successful coach, let's see how the new talent develops....blah blah blah

You people realize that we will be rolling out Nat Dixon, Everett Ray, Bryce Cook, Darrius McBride, Jahmar Young and Curtis White????? These 6 players are BY FAR....BY FAR the lowest ranked players we have recruited in the past 7 years. He is now going way below Doh-level in caliber of talent.

Blaise, Cunningham, Dickerson, Jalen, Ryan Manuel, Uche are all players Coach Doh signed during the last 2 years of his stay here that were much higher regarded than the Jank list above....WITHOUT the Moody renovation, WITHOUT Moody Madness, WITHOUT the Sellout crowds and national coverage, WITHOUT NIT and NCAA Tourney games.

Coach Doh is now officially out recruiting Jank. Completely unacceptable.

So for me, its either NCAA Tourney or Bust. In other words, Jank has got to go. And yes, if Pitino could pass due diligence (which I strongly doubt), I would fire Jank today and replace him.

Pitino will and never should happen. Ever. But I like the line of thinking in terms of getting a proven winner

Can't you give Jank this year with (knock on wood) no injuries that decimate our core, with an actual bench? Maybe get out the flaming pitchforks in March?

Meanwhile, TCU landed their 3rd 4-star commitment yesterday for 2019...

And I think their Aussie/NZ pipeline is generating better results than ours.

Going forward we will beat TCU in basketball about as often as we do in football.

I'm wondering who our next type of hire will be.
It's clear we need an all-star type to cut through the noise and be successful. Who is that person?

Looks like TCU is putting some distance between SMU and them in recruiting.

How is SMU recruiting compared to other AAC teams?

Great question since our AD has repeatedly stated our athletic goal is to compete for conference championships.

Thanks. With ECU getting Joe Dooley from Florida Gulf Coast I imagine in a year or two they will be better. Also the new coach for USF seems to have brought in a 2018 class where most of the class had P5 offers and the same with Memphis. Tulane’s class didn’t seem too shabby either.

SMU is #4 in the AAC with Cook ranked #303 nationally and McBride #314 nationally.

Neither has any quality offers (including a Jank offer)

Memphis is ranked #5, having a commitment from 1 player only who is ranked #135 nationally and has offers from Alabama, Arizona St, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, GA Tech, K-St, Ole Miss and Tennessee.

Cincinnati is ranked #6 with only 1 commitment. He is ranked #158 nationally with an offer from Xavier.

Tulsa is ranked #7 with only 1 commitment. He is ranked #226 nationally.

USF is ranked #8 with only 1 commitment. He is ranked #295 nationally but has offers from VA Tech and Arkansas.

No other AAC school has any commitments.

You see where this is going???????????

I'll see where the actual games on the court go myself. And, yes, I'm fully capable of adjusting for a weaker schedule to arrive at a reasoned opinion. Seems a little too "pitchforky" in here

I hope he can string together some classes with some Top 150 talent all through the classes. Obviously we don’t want him to end up like June where June’s supporters were saying just wait and see. Stallion called what happen to June a mile away. While Jank is not at the mile away mark yet let’s hope he is not closing in on it.
