SMU opens against Jacksonville which is out of the Atlantic Sun and went 23-9. They lost the tournament championship game and did not go to the postseason.

Virginia Tech went 15-15 but had an awful 2-12 season. I think they were pretty good for awhile. I remember them being in the NCAA women's tournament earlier this decade.

IUPUI is out of the Summit league and went 17-16. They lost the Summit tournament title game to Oral Roberts and did not go to the postseason.

In other words, this is a tournament we should be favored to win.

Virginia Tech is pretty good, they just aren't up to the level of the rest of the ACC so they get pounded in conference play. This will be a pretty competitive lineup.
