Lady Mustangs lead 45-23 at the half. EIU was 24-9 last season, including an overtime win against SMU, so this was a rematch everyone was looking forward to, and another quality win.

EIU played in the Preseason NIT, and lost to UTEP 84-80. UTEP finished tied for 2nd in C-USA last year, and returned all 5 starters, so this serves as a good measuring stick comparing us to one of the other teams favored to finish near the top of our conference.

We play TCU at Moody on Dec. 9 and then go to that tourney in the Bahamas before Christmas. Game AT Utah on Jan. 2 is a real good indicator before we hit conference play. We passed a good test when we beat Arkansas last week.

in conference, Houston, UCF, and UTEP finished tied for 2nd last year, and return everyone. East Carolina is 4-0 so far, and winning by wide margins. We'll play UH and UTEP home and home, UCF at home, and East Carolina on the road.

Out of conference, TCU and Utah are the toughest games left, although Hofstra and Indiana State are undefeated, and are the favorites to win their respective conferences. Arkansas, LMU and New Orleans were all nice wins, all currently in the top 100 of the RPI, and Arkansas and LMU are likely to be NIT teams this year.

If we can sweep that Marshall, ECU roadtrip that will tell you where this thing is going. When we swept that two years ago that served as the catalyst for this team going to the NCAA tournament.

Rhonda has always had my support.

We got 8 votes in the last USA Today poll (TCU got 9, East Carolina 7, and Houston 3). We got 4 or 5 votes in the first AP poll, not sure where we were in the latest poll, I'll look around.

65-38, 8:30 left in the game.

I've said it for years. Rhonda is best coach on our campus. I'll stand by that for as long as she's here.

We are ranked 37th in the ESPN/USA Today Poll. No votes in the AP Top 25.

Very nice stat line with 4 players in double figures and 3 others with 8 points!!! 79-52 final!!! Nice to get a blowout win!!! I guess it is the players and not the name on the jersey that counts after all!!

Final 79-52, last couple of minutes were ragged, but overall a good effort. Besides the people I already mentioned, Raquel CHristian had 13 points and 4 assists, off the bench.

Forgot to mention, this saturday we'll play the winner of Fresno State vs. Boston College in the 2nd round of our Thanksgiving tournament. 7 pm, Moody.
