Anybody see any similarities between SMU? Small private school located in a major metro area.
Just like SMU, no reason for this program to be achieving these type of results.

Wainwright was hired in 2005. Overall record of 59-80. 20-51 in conference play. 7-8 this season & 0-3 in conference.

Doh hired in 2006. Overall record of 39-66. 10-39 in conference play. 6-8 this season & 0-1 in conference.

With the exception that Depaul plays in the best bball conference in the country...

a little similarities...similar to Marquette, Georgetown.
However, our conference doesn't help the cause.

So are you saying that Doherty should have more wins since the competition is weaker?

Big East isn't a cakewalk - not easy being a coach in that league. I'd say Marquette and Georgetown are comparable sizes to SMU? - and both are in bigger cities.

Major difference- the Depaul AD had the cajones to take action and correct a bad situation. Our AD just sits around pondering his navel. Three bad coaching decisions and zero corrections.

GO PONIES!!!

Bigger meaning not in a college town - like DC, Milwak, and Dallas. Should have said big city..
