thanks DG - since when did Hanson care about SMU bball?

Way too short, questions were ok. "it takes time" - year 4 coach, year 4!

Hansen doesn't care about basketball, and he doesn't care about SMU.
That seemed pretty evident when half his air time was spent breaking down Coach's wardrobe.
I don't see why SMU sends any coaches down there to talk to Dale. Nothing good comes from it. Ever.

Why do they even waste time with these 3 minutes segments? By the time all the boring intro questions are asked the segment is over. The viewer/fan gets nothing from this...

So getting publicity on the highest rated local news broadcast is a waste of time? We should be thrilled that they're willing to waste their viewers' time reminding the Dallas community that SMU still has a men's basketball team.
The interview might have a little more substance to it if there was actually something to talk about like postseason hopes or big rivalry games.

Maybe Dale had some community service requirements to complete?

There are plenty of reasons to hate Dale Hanson that have nothing to do with the fact that he broke that infamous news story. Most notably the fact that he's a tool.
