Big story from the NYPost on this. Click to read the full story.

http://www.nypost.com/p/sports/high_sch ... OLsNnhBefO

Brian Bernardi was ready to head home and go through his final six schools, to further analyze each program’s plusses and minuses. When he thought about SMU, however, there were no negatives.

As it turns out, he didn’t need to get back to Staten Island to decide. Xaverian’s 6-foot-2 shooting guard verbally committed to the Conference-USA school Wednesday night while still in Dallas, Texas.

“Right after I left from the visit, it just felt right,” he told The Post. “I just wanted to commit right away. I really liked the Texas area. The coaches were great to me. I feel comfortable with them.”

Great article - thanks for posting. He does look like a great fit for us. Love how he decided before getting back to his hotel. Exciting stuff.

Looking back on the 2012 class....

Bernardi is averaging over 12 points a game as a senior at Hofstra.

Uche Ofoegbu is now at UNLV, his 3rd school. Averaging over 7 points a game.

Jordan Dickerson's career is over. Never averaged over 3 points in a season.

Blaise Mbargorba is in his final season at Boston. Hasn't played in a game since December 7.

It's insane that not one player from this class spent more than one season on the Hilltop. Also, how the hell are three of these guys still in school?

transfers and RS seasons can extend a kid's college career. The smart ones can obtain graduate degrees going this route
