OVERTIME!!

Damon Hancock made 1 of 2 freethrows to put the Ponies up by 2 with less than thirty seconds left, then OU hit a two pointer and SMU's attempts to win failed, sending it to OT!

First possession of OT, Q hits a three pointer!

Willie Davis fouled out with 1:20 left in OT. He had 16 points and I think 8 rebounds.
OU 79
SMU 78

9 seconds left in OT. SMU has the ball, down by one point. Sasser ran the clock down then passes the ball to Ross who missed the game winning shot from 20 feet, then Sasser tried to tip the ball in, which was no good. Not sure whether the tip would have counted or not. Tough, close loss. Another almost win against a top 25 team.

At half, SMU was down 6. At one point in the second half, SMU lead by 9 points. OU seemed to be a very good three point team.

Damon Hancock had 18
Willie Davis 16
Jeryl Sasser 13

Conference play begins January 4th, 7:30 at home against San Jose State.
