Reasons to come to Saturday's game

What better way to spend a Saturday afternoon than by watching Jeryl Sasser, Willie Davis, Damon Hancock, Quinton Ross, et al, take on Hawaii at 3 p.m.? Also, the game is being broadcast on Fox Sports Southwest, so we would love a strong showing for the TV audience. Who knows, you might even get on the air. Also, The Ticket will be making an appearance, so let's show them that they are missing the boat by not talking about Mustang hoops.

Also, there are only eight chances left to watch Sass and Willie in action at Moody Coliseum.

You forgot some reasons to attend:

• Revenge against Hawaii, which dumped SMU out of the WAC Tournament last year.
• SMU is the best college basketball in Texas.
• This is a big weekend for football recruits — we need to show them some school pride.
• Good rush move for fraternities and sororities to turn out en masse.
• Sasser and Davis are great, but Damon Hancock is the best player on the team, and one of the best in the nation. This guy dominates games. His improved outside shot will get him drafted in the first round after next season.
• Turn out to hear the Alumni Band — they've been great at the games while the students have been out on holiday.
