We need UCF, USF, East Carolina and Tulane to win a couple of decent non-conference games.

Are any of the newcomers form CUSA expected to be any good at all?

I was really bummed to see manning leave there.... Was hoping he could bring in another good recruiting class or two before he inevitably got scooped up elsewhere.

I'm a little concerned with all this top 15 talk. Don't get me wrong, I love it. But I think we are getting ahead of ourselves. I'd be worried about our team getting too overconfident if we didn't have LB at the helm. Again, the challenge this offseason and early next year will be how we handle PROSPERITY. That will be my mantra anyway. I expect some bumps with the new pieces and no really strong senior leadership like last year (we will have good seniors but not necessarily leaders like Shawn and Nick were . . . MK and Nic are going to have to step up and eventually Eman). By the time March rolls around, I think we'll be fine. We WILL have a very experienced group, though, so that will be good . . . even more so if Tolbert gets eligible.

The tourney snub is the best thing that ever happened w specific regard to coming in overconfident next yr...not a chance its even an issue. We will be one of the hungriest teams in the nation.

You know it is national media making these top 15 predictions, not "us", right? How are "we" at ponyfans getting ahead of ourselves? Should people not post links to these stories?

This ^

It get so tiresome when fans start worrying about "us" getting ahead of ourselves.

At this time, with Turner perhaps in the balance, this is the best thing. Also, these will be the only "polls" out there until about the first week of Bball. Great press, great top of mind stuff.

DMN:

The bottom line is SMU should have been in the tournament. . . . The AAC definitely deserved more respect. . . . SMU is an early favorite to win the AAC, and there is no way the committee will sleep on the Ponies again.

November 2014 can't come soon enough. It's going to be a LONG summer and fall.
