We not beat NC State during either one of their championship years (74 & 83).

We did play eventual NC Arkansas in 93-94 but they beat us, 96-70.

That may have been the only other time we even played an eventual NC.....

I was AT that one! That was the mountain top of my experience with men's bball while a student (and we get creamed -- tells you something about my "battered fan syndrome" . . . must forgive me, I'm learning).

Was that the year GT won or UNC. We beat UNC earlier that same year.
UNC better keep that Ram away from Peruna

GT won it. In 84. Didn't remember, but after getting my yearbook out, it says we had a 24-16 lead over the hoyas at half. I just remember the how frustrating it was to watch the four corners offense. Glad they put in a shot clock. I also remember LDavis not boxing out Ewing on the missed free throw.
