Just wondering, but is it a certainty that Mudiay will be gone after the first year, irregardless of how the team does, etc. I know it's been stated on this board often but is that based on his abilities and NBA potential, some comment he's made, assumptions, or other ? Regardless next year will be fun and I can't wait.

He's arguably the best player in the country coming out of HS. I'd be shocked if he isn't a one and done.

I would be more worried of him going straight to the NBA than I would expect him to stay 2 years. Are they still allowed to do that?

Nope. And Adam Silver (new NBA commish) actually wants to raise the age limit. Wish he'd hurry up and get on that!

I wish that they would go to the system that is in place for baseball. You can go pro out of high school but if you go to college you are there for three years.

How about we just let people do whatever the hell they want? If a pro team is willing to pay you millions and you think you are ready, then go for it. If they aren't, and you feel you need some time to better develop, then go to college for 1-2-3-4 years. The reality is that very, very few (like 1-2 every other class or so) are really ready for the jump (Eman is physically able right now and seems mature enough to and would probably be a 4th or 5th pick right now quite honestly, but could use a year to get his bball IQ up and work on all the little things to refine his game). I don't see anyone else in this class truly ready for the NBA right now other than Okafor. Not to say that no pro teams would gladly give millions to several others right now as well (this class is unique).

Kinda makes ya wonder why nobody tries to jump to NFL right out of high school.

too much of a talent/physical gap for that to ever happen.

and there is a rule that you can't go pro until 3 years after you graduate HS.

see Williams, Mike and Clarett, Maurice
