Wish List: Texas schools preseason tournament

How cool would it be to have a pre-season tournament of strictly Texas teams? Call it something like the Texas Shootout. Just taking the top 8 teams in the state, you're looking at a very watchable event:
Texas
SMU
Baylor
Houston
SFA
Tech
A&M
UTEP

I don't see Texas ever agreeing to this type of arrangement.

If the Big 12 Texas schools & A&M won't schedule us at Moody then f 'em. I say we play OU or OSU again at AAC or Moody just to spite them...give Kruger and Ford a free recruiting trip to DFW

That'd be awesome. I've been wanting Ohio to do it for years, Indiana does it (called the Crossroads Classic in Indianapolis) with Butler, IU, Purdue and Notre Dame every year. It's not a tournament but just a way to get a great OOC opponent on the schedule in-state.
