Ulric a candidate for Louisville job opening.....

Postby Smerkins » Thu Apr 17, 2014 1:20 pm

"Hearing SMU assistant Ulric Maligi is in the mix to replace Kevin Keatts at Louisville. Indiana's Kenny Johnson also a candidate." Jeff Borzello (@jeffborzello)

Would be a major loss.

Been expecting this for awhile, hard to pass up a seat on Pitino's bench.

It's tough to leave a seat on LB's bench.

How do you know it wasn't tough for Howard to leave? Plus, Howard is an Illinois guy and the Kansas job was a chance to get back to that part of the country. Ulric is a native Texan.

I'm just giving you a hard time.

I don't know whether or not it was a hard decision for Jerrance.

But from what Hoopmanx had to say about the departure, it certainly did not seem like a tough decision for Jerrance.

Depends on the money imo.

Hopefully we pay what it takes to keep him here. This would hurt. I really, really don't like Pitino.
When will I start feeling stimulated??

Exactly.

Plus he'll probably get House and Thomas over to the yard birds (he was their recruiter at kitty high I believe).

I really don't know either 8) I just hope he doesn't leave. As Terry just posted, hopefully they want the Indiana guy.

As long as we can pay him market value he has no reason to leave. College basketball programs transcend conferences and we are in one of the best anyway.

Nice way for him to get a raise regardless.
