I would rather be a player development coach in The American than an assistant in C-USA, but that's just me.

Not a lateral move because he is not an assistant coach but a player development coach. It's a move up.
Watching him on the bench, he seems like an assistant HC to me. I guess it makes sense if it's indeed a promotion, but he's about to have a chance to help a top PG become a top pro. Interesting . . .

I understand the whole argument about that it's good that SMU coaches being offered great jobs, however, I'd like SMU to be a DESTINATION spot not a stepping stone. We are better than that, especially now in basketball. Coach K is at Duke for a very long time, Calhoun, Bohein, etc etc . . .
Something tells me, though, that LB won't have a problem finding someone to help him on his bench . . . I REALLY hope Ulric stays . . . losing Snow sucks.

Sounds like this guy gets his info reading ponyfans.

Dude every program is a steppingstone if you're not a head coach.

I was thinking the same thing. Seems pretty silly to report it when they don't even know which school it is.

Right. Duke has lost 2 assistant coaches in the past two years to HC jobs so no assistant job will ever be a destination job.

Maybe we should not be so [deleted] the young man that is an SMU student. Beionny D.C. Mickles â€@BMickles10 2h He is leaving to take a better job. Both schools have recently hired coaches so we are working to confirm the school but he is in fact gone. Just sayin'.

I am not [deleted] anyone. If I knew how to tweet I could have said the same thing based on reading ponyfans. Simply an observation.

Plus, in the grand scheme of things it really doesn't matter. I mean come on - is there really a difference between FIU and FAU anyway?
