I think Dallas and SMU have really connected with LB.

I wonder if this means his wife is moving to Dallas as well. I believe I'd read earlier that she was still living in Philly while he was here when he first took the SMU job

They also own a house just down the street from my office in East Hampton and have summered here for many years. I fully expect to run into him here in another month or so.

Wasn't she staying so their youngest (daughter?) could finish school?

That's what he had said. Maybe they really like it here. Let her finish at HP then head to Meadows!

Not to get too stalkerish here, but I thought I read somewhere that his daughter was at boarding school somewhere in New England. Could be wrong though

He owns a beautiful condo in the Palomar already (bought it before this last season after renting a place in the W for his first season)

He'll probably rent an apartment in Preston Hollow and send his daughter to Hillcrest High School.

Is the Palomar the old hotel on the corner of Mockbird and Central? If so, they must have done a fantastic renovation job to make that old building a destination address.

Yes, and it is pretty nice now apparently.

Some of the furniture in that home would look good in a nice Fox & Jacobs in the Hampton-Illinois area. Must have bought it when he was wearing the Volkswagen seat cover sport coats and bell bottom pants.

The hotel was refurbished a couple of years ago. The condos were added at that time and are in a separate new high-rise building.
SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.

It was the old Hilton Inn. A client of mine wanted to buy it back in the early 90s, but it was picked up by some sort of an Eastern spiritual guru who turned it into a transcendental-meditation center. Went downhill fast. The asking price back then was shy of $700,000 if my memory serves me. Quite a steal.

a couple of problems with the palomar 1) someone was murdered there which makes it a no go for me 2) it's right on the highway and 3) is overpriced for what it is (see 1 and 2).
