Jibran Kelley

Thought Jibran had a nice game. Hit a long three pointer, had 8 rebounds and did a solid job defensively against Andy Ellis. Good mobility on the defensive end, which Dement loves. Will get more and more playing time while the young guys learn.

Who told Jibran he's a three-point shooter? He looks good out there. That distance is nothing more than a flick of the wrist for him. He could extend that range a lot if he got any lift from his legs while shooting, or extended his arms during his shot.

He even dribbled some tonight. Watch out - Magic Johnson, Jr., is alive and well at SMU.

Yeah it's too bad our coach told jibran not to shoot or dribble outside of the lane in high school. It's a testament to his work ethic that he's developed his outside game this much.

Jibran's 3-ball looks a hell of a lot nicer than Sasser's ever did. None of that knuckleball/corkscrew motion. Nice rotation, looks natural from out there.
