I hope he is working on his temper control because you are right - they will be coming after him even more this season. Shake It Off Moody
Re: Rothstein still has us as AAC favoriteWe will still be a good tournament level team, maybe a sweet 16 team depending on how Fraizer, Moore, and Brown improve from freshman year. It's just really disappointing because with Mudiay we wer a legit final four contending team. Gut punch for sure.
Re: Rothstein still has us as AAC favoriteHopefully, the rest of the team did nothing but dribble balls around this summer - at home, at the gym, walking to summer school classes, etc.
Re: Rothstein still has us as AAC favoriteNot surprised, wouldn't have expected SMU not to be the favorites even with the set-back. They return the core, a core that was pretty damn good and should've been in the tourney, then added a couple of high-quality transfers that are eligible immediately. Still a top 25 team but the holes from last years team still exist even with the transfers. Still lack a back-up PG that doesn't stall the offense when Moore is off the floor and still don't have the slasher that can create off the wing.
On the flip side, very few teams return as much of their core as SMU and it was a damn good team to begin with. They now each have an extra year under their belt. Bodes well for a good run in the tourney.
Re: Rothstein still has us as AAC favoriteconsidered we whipped UCONN twice last yr with this squad, I don't see how losing Mudiay changes anything. We've only gotten better with Martin and Tolbert added. Mudiay was just the icing on the cake but we will be fine
