Keelon Lawson, the father of the Lawson kids has been hired by Pastner. His 3 kids are all highly ranked. He also has a 6th grader... Smart move taking a page out of LB's playbook.

Lawson is the father of three heralded recruits. The oldest, K.J. Lawson, is a 6-foot-7 wing ranked 37th in the country by ESPN.com. He has already committed to play for Pastner at Memphis.

Dedric Lawson is a 6-8 power forward in the Class of 2016 who is ranked seventh in the country by ESPN.com. Chandler Lawson is a 6-6 wing who is ranked No. 1 overall in the Class of 2019 by one recruiting site. Jonathan Lawson is a sixth-grader who one coach said "may be the best of all of the brothers."

Well, it's always good to have somebody older on the staff for some experience and advice.

Keelon Lawson has 4 really talented boys...moreover, he led Memphis' Hamilton High to an undefeated State Title...played college ball at LeMoyne Owen and has a college degree.

So it's not like he isn't qualified for the job. Moreover, he had offers from Vandy and Mississippi to be an asst coach.

Then why do you feel the need to defend him on another team's message board? Tsk Tsk.

More like someone to change Josh's diapers and put him in timeout when he throws a tantrum.

Looks like Pastner is copying Larry Brown when he hired Danny Manning's dad. LOL.

So the fact that other schools tried to pull the same trick makes it better?
