I would worry more about Markus getting in foul trouble next season than Nic. Speaking of that, what does anyone hear of how Yanick is recovering/progressing this summer? He could be the key in us making a run IMO.

Don't know, just left for Angola to play for national team in qualifiers. WIsh him well, cause I think he's a real baller. He was uncomfortable after coming back late, but hes skilled and we cold use a rim protector

He's in Angola right now working with the National Team since he's playing in the world cup of basketball (or something like that).

Yes, he has been tweeting about his trip. I believe the young man was very excited at the chance to go home for while. It's a great opportunity for Yanick. I know LB was really excited for him.

thanks that is very encouraging. Short change of scenery and home cooking could really be what the doctor ordered. I look for him to come back and be the beast we hoped for.

I was about to start a thread about YM. When he played those first few games, you could see the talent on the defensive end.

Not only is he a rim protector, but his Pick and Roll D impressed me - he was able to jump out and aggressively trap the opponent and recover to his man rolling down the lane.

I hope he stays healthy next season. He was great for us early on.

given what's transpired recently, I'm not kidding, but I got worried when I saw a thread on YM. Glad to know everything is well with him. wish him the best in this tournament.

I really like Yanick - I hope they are feeding him steaks and eggs and giving him giant boulders to lift and squat. And he finds a mean streak somewhere in his travels . . .

Really?

If Markus plays the 5, we have Yanick and Cannen who can also play there.

If he plays the 4, Ben or Tolbert (if eligible) can also play there.

I love Markus' game and think he could a darkhorse candidate for AAC Player of the Year next year, but I'd be much more worried about Nic picking up two early fouls than MK

Review Louisville @ SMU if you have any doubts about who we can least stand to miss time....
