Nailed it. Bam! Especially frustrating reading about Kentucky and Duke. Tradiaitonal basketball powerhouses that seem to have their players fly through the NCAA clearinghouse without a snag. I just worry about the perception this leaves for future recruits. Hey, I am an SMU fan...I am allowed to be paranoid. Still not trusting the NCAA.

Great article.

Yep, NCAA is killing the Golden Goose that is the immense basketball talent in USA. And as much as the NBA says they want kids more polished when they get to NBA, extending the college requirement to 2 years will only push more high schoolers overseas.

NCAA and NBA need to get on same page and both be encouraging the kids to play college basketball, but both are pushing the players away. Bad moves on both parts.
Beat the hell out of anybody!

great article that spits the truth. Had he committed to Kentucky, he would be playing college ball. NCAA is crooked as can be

I think Lary Brown's status and media savvy may have actually gotten Mudiay eligible. Guess we will never know.

How many more years can/will the corrupt NCAA survive?

If mudiay had committed to playing at Kentucky I think it would have only made a difference because a Kentucky booster would have stepped up and given mrs mudiay a nice "job" that solved her financial problems if that was the real issue that drove EM decision. Our boosters won't do that type of thing because our school rightfully won't allow it. Not sure if even Kentucky would have gotten the dogs off prime prep's back if thwt is the true issue. Remember the prime prep stuff had been building for years and didn't just appear out of no where when EM committed to SMU.
