Memphis exhibition against Canada

Postby LA_Mustang » Tue Aug 19, 2014 12:04 pm

“@JonRothstein: Memphis with 14 assists to 23 turnovers in third exhibition game in Canada. Ball handling will be a work in progress for young Tigers.”

Nic, Ben, Sterling, KF and Justin should be able to pressure the Memphis guards into TOs in AAC play.

Let's just hope we don't turn the ball over against them if Nic has to go out of the game.

Memphis was clobbered last night by Carleton -- 92-60. Tigers lost to Carleton 86 -76 on Saturday. They ended their Canadian tour at 2 - 2.

Before reading too much into this, keep in mind that Carleton is the best college program in Canada, Memphis was missing some key players, and this was their fourth game in four days. Looking ahead, they may also be adding a primo guard who started at Vandy during the 2012-2013 season and could be eligible this season. On the other hand, the Memphis defense gave up 84.5 ppg during the tour. That's hard to explain away.

Yes. He got whacked after Gee Money caught him wearing a wire.

He did. But I kinda like the name for basketball purposes because of this line from Notorious BIG: "You see it's kinda like the crack did to Pookie in New Jack, except when I cross over there ain't no coming back."
