WBB: American Schedule Released

The American announced the women's conference schedule today as well. The UConn game at Moody is Sunday afternoon January 11.

SMU has announced its 2014 women’s basketball schedule, which features six possible matchups against 2014 NCAA Tournament teams, including a Dec. 9 matchup against NCAA Tournament quarterfinalist Texas A&M in Moody Coliseum and a pair of games against defending national champion Connecticut.

During its second season of competition in the American Athletic Conference, SMU will play eight league games against teams that advanced to the postseason last year, with first-year members Tulane and East Carolina competing in the WNIT along with USF.

The schedule includes 18 conference games, playing Connecticut, Temple, Houston, USF, Tulane, East Carolina, UCF and Tulsa both on the road and at home in Moody Coliseum. The Mustangs will also host Cincinnati in the home finale on Feb. 28, before concluding the regular season at Memphis on March 2.
