To put this in perspective, Yanick was going against Nathan Jawai the "Outback Shaq." Jawai played a couple of years in the NBA and recently played for Barcelona. Granted he didn't do much in the NBA but he was/is a good player for Barcelona, which I believe is very good Euro squad.

New life for Angola as they were not expected to win.

On the other hand ...is Yanick even coming back to SMU?.....he doesn't have SMU listed on his Facebook page anymore, just South Plains College....is he now gone from SMU? he doesn't appear to be enrolled for this semester------

Australia had already clinched a spot in the knockout round, and they are sort of jockeying for position so that they can avoid playing the US, so they held out 4 starters, Still, as LA mustang points out Nathan Jawai was still playing, as was Cameron Bairstow of the Bulls, and Brock Motum, an all PAC12 player at Washington, Motum went undrafted but Utah will have him in camp as a free agent, So they still had some good personnel to call on. Chris Goulding led the Aussies with 22 points and 6 rebounds in 30 minutes of play, the only other time he saw action was at the end of their blowout win over Korea.

Mexico is dominating Korea, if Mexico wins Angola is out.

Yanick is listed as a student in the online directory - and is still on the roster of course.

I dont know anything, but I worried about this from the beginning, particularly if Yanick played well. I knew he would get offers from overseas pro teams.
