The Zone: A New Defense?

Maybe Dement has never seen the zone before, but it looked like SMU has never faced a zone defense. Rice threw it at them with tremendous success in the first half. What has Dement been teaching this team?

I don't think he does teach them, hence the problem. They looked worse than that awful Rice game last year with Sassafras. That was the worst display of SMU hoops I have ever seen. At least toss the ball inside to break the zone. Passing/Standing around the perimeter and waiting for a 3 aint going to cut it.
