So you could say, June has already walked.

He was walking half-heartedly for the past few years.

I think having Larry's son here makes all the difference. You can see how engaged he is in the SMU community, and I think that's a primary reason. If you look at his life (I watched that ESPN special on him years ago) and he admitted he was quite neglectful to his previous children (well, they are still his children so I guess you could say his OLDEST children), he's probably trying to atone for that somewhat. We are just lucky to be the beneficiaries of that. We just need 1-2 HUGE seasons so we can take the momentum he's created and keep it going. I am confident that football will follow. Hart said it right - SMU has amazing assets and we need to leverage them and invest them for the future. NOW is the time. I think we get it done. NOW is the time to get REAL aggressive. Whatever it takes (legally) to go get a rock start FB HC. Build the IPF. Put every nickel you can find into marketing and PROMOTE, PROMOTE, and PROMOTE! Follow that up with a great bball run over the next 1-2 seasons while we hire a kick [deleted] FB HC and we are on our way.

I was at the Heart Walk this morning. Every time I see LB in action I am truly amazed. He was very visible and cheerful-he really looked like he wanted to be there. Not surprisingly, there were dozens of people who wanted to say hi and take pictures with him. He took every picture and thanked every single person for their support of SMU and the American Heart Association.

Thank you for choosing us LB!

We are so lucky he chose US! He is very close with LJ (his son that's a Sophomore). They both have told me how much LJ loves SMU!!!
