We got 25 votes in CP. We are ranked 31 figuratively
Go away...don't you have a Tiger board you can go post on instead?

Nice reading....I said one is rising, one is "treading water". That doesn't mean your stock has dropped. Just means you are staying where you were, not moving forward or backwards. Last year you were 12-6 tied for fourth in the league with a school named SMU. This year we are predicted to win the AAC and you are treading water at around 4th place again this year....... behind little ole SMU and lowly Larry Brown who hasn't put any players in the NBA yet after a whole two years of recruiting.

Transfers and JUCOs if Thomas goes elsewhere and MK goes pro. For heavens sake the day after committing the #1 player in OK and we are freaking out?
We are taking about positional needs. It is harder to get good bigs than it is to get good guards. We might even get LeGeral Vick as well. Really good to get Milton but there are plenty good guards out there. Outside of Thomas no other top 150 bigs are even looking at SMU. Transfers are like playing Russian roulette (see June Jones on that one) because you never know who is transferring until they transfer. JUCO are about 50/50 if they work out. You don't want to depend on Juco and Transfers to build a program. Sure it might help to get things up and running and making it to the NIT but it will be less likely to be a team that makes a run at the national championship. And no one is freaking out but looking at it through realistic perspective on trying to make a run for the national champion rather than just being satisfied with being a good team in the AAC.
You act like high school players are guaranteed stars. We have no control whatsoever so I'm just saying let's enjoy this year before we worry about next year and miss how good this year's team is. Not saying you're specifically freaking out but that's the tone of a lot of people on PF

well, they are playing for a bad coach. Josh is not a good coach. Nice hire of a dad with 3 kids to get recruits, way to go! You are you more annoying than a SMU grad I know who lives in Memphis and roots for the Tigers over SMU.

Thomas has a commitment date of next Tuesday and no one knows where he is going. That could be an exciting day for SMU like yesterday. So I am not going to act like the Thomas commitment announcement is no big deal because it is. It also fun to some in following what is going on. When the season starts I will focus on the season. A lot of people followed he Mudiay commitment announcement. If you don't care about recruiting now fine but don't criticize those of us that are looking forward to seeing who we get before signing day in November. I am just saying if some want to following recruiting closely now and you don't fine but you act like the season has started and it is weeks away. We'll all be on the same page when the season starts. But for now go Coach Maligi and Coach Brown and reel in Elijah Thomas.

Maybe SMU will be able to host that many top 50 guys one day. Josh must be really good at selling the program to these elite recruits because obviously they don't have clue. Dang wish these top 10 players would stop coming to Memphis to play for this bad coach
Me too. Then maybe they could make it somewhere in the tourny

TigerJ wrote:We are actually predicted to finish 3rd. SMU is just lucky everyone is rebuilding at their guard positions. Next year Memphis is projected to be top 10 or 5 with Skal, Dedric, and KJ on the team. 2 one and dones and a 2 and done. No matter how bad of a coach you have you can't mess up with the talent coming in or experience carry over from this years squad. We are set up to do big things the next couple of years.
