This could still be SMU's greatest Basketball recruiting class ever but we are so hung up on who we didn't get we are missing out on the ride. I'm upset we didn't get the Dallas kids (I bet some end up here later) but recruiting 4-5 stars ain't easy. You probably should consider you have about a .10% shot at those kids-only because of Brown and his staff. Hopefully we get the Vick kid and move on from there. These days there are all kinds of ways to skin a cat in Basketball recruiting which is how our team was built in the first place

SMU missed on Blackshear, Koudmaudje, and Acuil. They are not local.

We missed on a bunch of national players only because Larry Brown and our assistants worked their [deleted] off to get a small unkown school from Dallas with little national Basketball profile into the national picture. With all the disappointment we could be looking at a class with 3 Four Stars and/or Top 100 kids (Rivals or Scout) by the end of the week. I can deal with that

I can deal with that but we still need a big or two.

Right, just forget about positional need and go for the Wichita State/Tulsa type look. In fact while we are at it let's get another guard.

Not sure how Tulsa or Witchita St are relevant to this conversation at all, but I could deal with being a 1 seed in the tourney like Witchita.

We will be loaded at guard, which is what we need to get to a NC game and win it. Remember last year we always got in a pickle when Nic got in foul trouble?
I'm pretty sure we will get a big this year that fits our scheme.

Did say it was bad clacky. Just different and probably not going to win the big dance but will be a good team.

We need good guards and good bigs to win the NC game. This year we should be fine on the front court.
