UConn / Boatright picked as favorites
Re: UConn / Boatright picked as favorites6 first place votes for them and 5 for us, so really pretty much dead even. I would think this is a combination of giving the defending champs props, and the new members being unaware of how far we have come.
Remember Tulsa, ECU and Tulane still remember [deleted] old Moody with 1000 people and a team that was mediocre/borderline bad (even in Brown's first year, talent just wasn't there yet).
Re: UConn / Boatright picked as favorites
I didn't see the actual voting, so thanks for sharing that. Makes complete sense...and makes for a great rivalry! Can't wait for those games!
Re: UConn / Boatright picked as favorites
They also may know about the Mudiay and Kennedy situations. I have no problem with where we are in the voting. If we are better than a reloaded UConn we will prove it on the court. Pretty much almost even in the voting anyway. "We will play man to man and we will pick you up at the airport." - Larry Brown

Re: UConn / Boatright picked as favoritesIf they don't know about the Mudiay situation they aren't very good coaches.
I would be surprised if any of them know about the Kennedy situation yet - but you never know. Shake It Off Moody
Re: UConn / Boatright picked as favoritesof course they know. Come on - they live this stuff
Re: UConn / Boatright picked as favoritesAnd they all read PonyFans.
Re: UConn / Boatright picked as favorites
Yes, they do. After all I post here.
Re: UConn / Boatright picked as favorites
read about it on the UCONN board. The interesting thing is that most of the comments were sympathetic as in: "we need him to make our conference stronger." Party at The Wopper!
