Dallas area freshmen are shinning

Bracey Wright lead Indiana to the Maui Invitational title and was named tournament MVP, only the second freshman to do so in the tournament's history.

Deron Williams is starting at PG for #25 Illinois and averaging 10 points and 4 assist per game.

Chris Bosh is starting at center for Georgia Tech averaging 21 points and 12 boards per game including 15 and 10 against #18 Georgia.

Ike Diogu is averaging 16 points and 6 boards for 4-1 Arizona State.

Hop, although injured, has help SMU to a 2-1 start.

How is Daniel Horton doing at Michigan? Their program is in such chaos, you don't hear that much about them right now.

Lots of awesome players coming out of Texas right now. Too bad that most of them feel like they have to go out of state.

Daniel Horton is playing well but Michigan is absolutely dreadful. They are 0-6 and outside of Duke they haven't really played anyone. Horton is averaging 13 pts and 3 boards per game. Someone to keep an eye on is Daniel's little brother at Cedar Hill. They are one of the best teams in the state at 11-0 and he is drawing a lot of attention as a junior. The Dallas area has several underclassmen that will be rated in the top of the country over the next couple of years in Horton, Eaton (Lincoln), and Aldridge (Seagoville)

Also, Bracey Wright is playing better than any freshman in the country right now. He had 31 last night against Vandy.

What's the name of the big man that we were so close to signing a year or two ago that ended up going to Minnesota? I can't remember for the life of me, and from glancing at the Gophers box score this morning from last night's game, I don't see him listed.

That's interesting, just looked through their box scores and he doesn't have a single minute played. I assume they're redshirting him, although that's quite a surprise.

They announced before the season started that Kane would be redshirted. They dont think he's ready to contribute.
I dont think its that big a surprise, he's a greath physical specimen, but hasnt played organized basketball for that long.
